What is website Hosting?
Every website consists of many files which are hosted somewhere in some Hard disk of some computer, its same like your computer files which are saved in some folder, and if you want to open or edit the file , you must find the path, which looks like this
C:\Users\Public\Pictures\Sample Pictures\my picture.jpg
If you notice the path you can easily understand that your computer tells you the path to find my picture in our case, so my picture.jpg is saved in a folder which is named as Sample Pictures, which is a subfolder. In the abovementioned path C is the partition of Hard Disk and in that partition there is a folder Users, and rest of the folders are subfolders.
Website actually is some files, to make it simple we can divide these files in two types
1. Programming language files e.g HTML,CSS, JS, PHP etc
2. Visual files or media files e.g Audio, Videos and Images.

So now we know what a website is, and we know that it is saved somewhere , but now what? How to open website ? you see that a URL or web address e.g www.tecknowdaily.com tells us no information about web servers or web hosting companies, then how can we find the website through this address which is called Domain name?
DOMAIN
Domain name is alias of the IP address of your unique name registered by a domain registrar. when someone finds the domain in any search engine (Google , Bing etc) or he types domain name/URL in the address bar of the BROWSER , browser sends information to the server who has authority of CDN of your domain, which tells the IP or Web Hosting server of the website which is associated with that domain name.

Just like local vehicle registration authorities who give you unique registration number for your vehicles, domain registrar provides you the unique domain for web.

What is URL?
In simple words URL is the path to the files of your website which are saved in a webhosting server. Just like the path of a picture we mentioned above. When someone types URL or web address of your website the browser sends this information to the Domain name server / Registrar who tells the address/IP address of your web hosting server, in this way the page you wanted to open is opened in your browser e.g. www.tecknowdaily.com
